'Connected' Leadership Conference – Growing Kingdom Leaders

Adam Keough, Irish Mission Executive Secretary

The Irish Mission's 'Connected' Leadership Conference, aimed at elders, leaders, and pastors, was held from 22-24 March, at the Killeshin Hotel in Portlaoise, Co Laois. The conference featured keynote speakers such as Pastor Daniel Duda (Trans-European Division President), Petar Popivanov, Victoria Afolayan, and HSE Chaplain Stephen Wilson.

The main focus of the meeting was to enhance the mindset, skillset, and unity of the 65 leaders who attended from across the island of Ireland through a combination of insightful presentations, leadership interactions, and spiritual moments.

On Sabbath morning, Pastor Dan Serb, President of the Irish Mission, welcomed all the participants and introduced the speakers. After that, Pastor Adam Keough, Executive Secretary of the Irish Mission, explained the purpose and vision of the conference. He said, "We aim to provide a platform for all the leaders to get to know each other, listen to each other, and build trust across the Mission."

At the conference, each church was represented by one or more elders or leaders who shared their local church's history, current membership profile, strengths, and challenges. The aim was to increase awareness among the gathered leaders about the other local congregations that are part of the Irish Mission.
