What if Jesus could teach your children?
Jesus can teach your children… through you!
Jesus embraces all children into His kingdom. He was the master at using creative objects – coins, fish, birds and lilies – to connect eternal truths to everyday life. Our mission is to partner with parents to make Jesus irresistible to children. Our vision is spiritual transformation so that the “little children” come to know Jesus, rather than to know about Jesus.
Grace is the main component in our toolbox. Far too many children’s ministries are hopelessly wired to behavioral philosophies and practices that steal Grace and replace it with works righteousness. In a Grace soaked learning environment every child could grow to his/her full God given potential.
To teach with Grace isn’t easy. It’s messy and murky. It’s often nonsensical and counterintuitive. It’s liberal in application and limited in our justification of using it. Grace isn’t fair, but it’s always right. Grace is often a surprise ending, a magical moment, or a shower of pleasure.
We are here to partner with God to design curriculum that will create emotional, social and spiritual environment that prepares the hearts and minds for God to work. Such curriculum is multisensory and experiential. What the kids learn in church sticks with them long after they are out of the door back into every day life. Because Jesus is a real friend who makes a difference in their lives today.
We partner with individual churches in developing effective children’s Sabbath School classes, children’s church services and single events like Holiday Bible Club (Vacation Bible School), Light Party, celebrating Christ’s birth, resurrection and other.
Children’s Ministry in Irish Mission is still in infancy. What a better way to grow in our calling than a weekend training 17th – 19th April 2020 delivered by Linda Koh, CM director at GC and Clair Sanches, CM director at TED.
All potential volunteers who would be working with children need to be Garda vetted before they begin volunteering. To begin the vetting process please contact your local church Safeguarding Officer or Disclosure Clerk. If you’re unsure of who this is in your church, contact your pastor to find out who.
