Resources for Church Clerks
Who are Church Clerks?
Every Seventh-day Adventist Church has a Church Clerk who is responsible for keeping church membership records up to date and keeping records of church meetings such as church business meeting and church board meetings. This page seeks to provide church clerks with the resources that they need to do their work effectively.
In the Irish Mission Marci Neal is the support person for church clerks. Please do not hesitate to contact her if you need any help and support.

Procedure and Documents for Membership Transfers
A church member who moves from one locality to another for a period of longer than six months, should, after becoming located, make immediate application for a letter of transfer to a church near his or her new pace of residence, or in case of a member locating in an isolated area with no church within a reasonable distance, the customary pan is to make application to join the conference or local mission church. (Seventh-day Adventist Church Manual)
A request for a letter of transfer is sent to the home church of the person who wants to transfer in.
The home church receives the request, votes on it, then sends back a letter of transfer.
The receiving church votes to accept the person into membership and sends back a confirmation letter.
The church clerk in the receiving church sends the appropriate report form to Marci Neal, the Irish Mission Clerk in Banbridge.
