Adventurers and Pathfinders Camporee Inspires Over 240 Youth in Ireland

The recently concluded Adventurers and Pathfinders Camporee held at Newmarket-On-Fergus from 2-5 May was a resounding success, bringing together over 240 Adventurers and Pathfinders from across Ireland. The event was designed to foster spiritual growth, leadership development, and community bonding through a diverse range of activities, workshops, and recreational events.

The spiritual framework of the Camporee was led by Pastor Clifford Herman, from the South England Conference. Pastor Herman, known for his passion for youth ministry, delivered impactful messages that resonated with teens, children, and young adults. He was well-supported by Pastor Ben Pontanar and Fillipe Lessa, under the new Adventurer and Pathfinder Director for the Irish Mission, Jefferson Melki.

New clubs like Waterford received valuable support and mentorship from well-established clubs such as Limerick and Cork, promoting a sense of unity and encouraging active participation. The experienced Dublin Club took the lead in several sessions, demonstrating effective drills, marches, and church service coordination. Their expertise provided valuable learning experiences for other clubs, fostering camaraderie and shared learning.

Area Coordinators Makho Madubeko and Ilona Roxana Stan played an instrumental role in organising separate marching drills for each club, ensuring that both club members and their directors were well-prepared.

A heartfelt thank you to all volunteers, staff, and sponsors who generously contributed their time and resources to make this Camporee a memorable and impactful experience for all. Special appreciation is also extended to the church leadership for their unwavering support and guidance.

The Pathfinders Camporee not only served as a platform for learning and growth but also fostered a strong sense of community, spiritual connection, and leadership development. The success of this event lays a solid foundation for future initiatives aimed at inspiring and equipping young Adventurers and Pathfinders to uphold their pledge and law.

We look forward to building on the momentum of this successful Camporee and continuing to provide impactful experiences that empower the next generation of leaders within the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Ireland.
