The Launch of the Mallow Church Plant: A Milestone in God’s Work
Sabbath, 13th September 2025, was a truly memorable day as the Mallow Church Plant was officially launched in a spirit of praise, thanksgiving, and unity. The long-awaited dream of establishing a group in Mallow finally became reality; a vision that had been prayed over, discussed, and nurtured for quite some time.
Even before Pastor Kerwin Mitchell assumed leadership, the desire to see a vibrant group established in Mallow was already stirring among members. God’s timing, however, was perfect. During the West of Ireland Camp Meeting, held from 1st–4th August 2025, the vision found new life. Surrounded by a spirit of revival and fellowship, Sister Loritta Munyimani felt impressed to take a step of faith and begin searching for a suitable meeting place.

It wasn’t long before she discovered “The Big Blue Cube,” a welcoming community centre in Mallow. On 14th August, Pastor Kerwin and Sister Uette visited the venue and were deeply moved by what they saw. Their hearts overflowed with gratitude as they recognised God’s unmistakable guidance in every detail.
Just a few weeks later, on that blessed Sabbath morning, members and guests gathered to celebrate the official launch of the Mallow Church Plant. The atmosphere was filled with joy, music, and heartfelt thanksgiving as everyone came together to worship and praise God for His goodness.
The highlight of the day was the inspiring message preached by Pastor Kerwin, titled “What Do You Want Me to Do?” The sermon challenged and encouraged all in attendance to seek God’s direction with willing hearts and to be ready to serve wherever He leads. It was a timely reminder that the establishment of the Mallow Church Plant was not merely about forming a congregation but about aligning with God’s purpose and mission.

Following the uplifting message, the congregation came together for a special moment, the cutting of the cake. This joyful act symbolised celebration, unity, and the sweetness of God’s faithfulness and provision in bringing the Mallow Church Plant to life.
The launch of the Mallow Church Plant marks a significant milestone in the growth of the church in the West of Ireland. It stands as a testimony to what can happen when God’s people come together with a shared vision and steadfast faith.

We give all glory to God for opening doors, moving hearts, and making this vision a reality. We also extend sincere thanks to everyone who supported this initiative; through prayer, planning, participation, and presence.
May this new group continue to grow, serve, and shine for Christ in the Mallow community and beyond, becoming a beacon of hope and a centre of love, fellowship, and truth.
“The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” — Psalm 126:3
