The Blanchardstown Seventh-day Adventist Voices and Orchestra: A Family of Faith and Music
The Blanchardstown SDA Voices & Orchestra is a ministry that grew from a simple beginning into a vibrant expression of community, faith, and music. What started in April 2013 as a small group of families singing together in a church plant has blossomed into a collective of musicians and singers who serve God through their talents.
From the very beginning, music was the heartbeat of the group. Everyone was encouraged to join in—children, parents, and friends alike. Early gatherings featured solos, duets, trios, a ladies’ chorus, and group singing. The group visited nursing homes, refugee centres, and smaller church congregations, and offered music for charitable events—always with the aim of uplifting others and sharing hope through song.

Over time, the ministry expanded. What once began with a few tin whistles gradually grew into a full orchestra. Instruments such as violins, flutes, piano, clarinet, saxophones, viola, cello, cornet, chimes, glockenspiel, trumpets, trombone, and more were added, bringing new depth and beauty to the music. Members of all ages committed themselves to learning, arranging, and practicing together—each contribution, whether large or small, helping to make the orchestra possible.

Today, the Blanchardstown SDA Voices & Orchestra brings together singers and instrumentalists in one harmonious ministry. Their performances combine orchestral and vocal music, creating uplifting worship experiences wherever they go. From local nursing homes to small churches across Ireland, and even international stages in Austria and Switzerland, the group continues to share the message of Christ through music.
What makes this ministry unique is that it is entirely a group effort. Every family, every individual, and every child plays a vital part. Each person willingly gives their time and effort—whether in practicing, performing, traveling, or supporting one another. This unity is what makes the group not only a musical ensemble but also a family in ministry.

Over the years, this journey of faith has been guided by dedicated pastors whose leadership and encouragement have helped the ministry grow and stay true to its mission.
Pastor Greg Davies has been a steadfast presence throughout much of the group’s journey. His wise guidance, spiritual counsel, and unwavering support have been a source of strength and encouragement to the group. His faith and leadership have played a vital role in nurturing the group’s spiritual growth and mission focus.
Pastor Florin Iacob shares deeply in the group’s mission, supporting and joining its outreach programs through music and ministry. His joy, dedication and leadership continue to uplift the members and those they serve.
The group also extends sincere appreciation to Pastor Dan Serb and Pastor Adam Keough, whose recognition and encouragement of the group’s ministry have empowered other churches to begin their own small group ministries and church plants. Their belief in the potential of small groups has inspired the continuation of this mission-driven model.
For the Blanchardstown SDA Voices & Orchestra, the Mobile Ministry Mission has never been only about music—it is about church planting and ministry growth, beginning with the smallest seeds: small groups, to be planted, nurtured, and encouraged in every part of the mission field. It is their greatest joy to see new ministries flourish, inspired by the same spirit of faith, unity, and service.
The group also participates in charitable events and initiatives where their music can be a blessing to others. For those wishing to connect about future opportunities, please reach out to Beth Dempsey on WhatsApp at 083 844 7064.
What began in 2013 as a small gathering of families dedicating their time and voices to serve God’s mission in uplifting others has continued to grow into a testimony of how faith, fellowship, and music can transform lives and communities. Together, this group is more than just an ensemble—it is a ministry of families united in sharing the gospel through the universal language of music.
