New Podcast Launches with a Fresh Take on Evangelism
On May 30, 2025, the Evangelism Department of the Irish Mission unveiled an inspiring new resource for members and communities alike: the #Think Evangelism podcast, hosted by Pastor Damieon Lewis, Evangelism Sponsor for the Irish Mission. With heartfelt stories, biblical insight, and practical ideas, the podcast invites listeners to reimagine how we share Jesus in today’s Ireland — and beyond.
The idea for the #Think Evangelism podcast was born in March 2025, after the Connected Leadership Conference. During a post-conference debrief with fellow pastors, Pastor Damieon saw a gap: “We recognised the need for inspiring, thought-provoking content that people often receive at events like these, but in bite-sized segments that any member could easily access and engage with.” The podcast also serves a practical purpose, promoting the Creative Evangelism Fund, a dedicated resource in the Irish Mission that supports Spirit-led, innovative ways of sharing the gospel.

The Heart of Healthy Evangelism

The premiere episode, “The Heart of Healthy Evangelism”, explores a theme that sits at the centre of Pastor Damieon’s vision. Healthy Evangelism, he explains, is about more than programmes and events: “It’s a holistic approach, meeting physical, emotional, social, financial, and spiritual needs, while building meaningful relationships. We want to move from programme-based thinking to missional living, and from confrontational models to relationship-driven witness. The evangelistic lifestyle of the members is the evangelistic programme of the church.”
Listeners can expect stories that resonate with real-life challenges. In one of the episodes, Evangelist Chief shares how moving from Kenya to Ireland shifted his ministry from public campaigns to seeing his local church as his mission field — a journey of reimagining outreach for a new context. Episode themes are chosen through a prayerful, Holy Spirit–led process, supported by research into the needs of the Adventist Churches and communities within the Irish Mission. Each one is designed to address genuine challenges, whether ecclesiastical, social, or theological.
Pastor Damieon hopes the podcast will spark a shift in how members see evangelism, not as a specialist activity, but as something relational and natural. “If listeners walk away feeling more equipped, more grounded, and more excited about living missionally every day, then the podcast has done its job.” This vision extends beyond Ireland, inspiring Adventist communities worldwide to adapt their mission to local realities.
An Ongoing Conversation
Episodes are released weekly in five-episode blocks, with short breaks in between to give listeners time to reflect and engage more deeply. The podcast is available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and all major platforms. For Pastor Damieon, podcasts are an extension of the Church’s preaching ministry: “They continue the conversation beyond Sabbath or midweek services. By offering content that is accessible anytime, anywhere, we create an immersive environment for discipleship, supporting spiritual growth beyond the walls of the church.”
For those feeling weary or unsure about evangelism, his encouragement is simple: “Evangelism, at its core, is simply the natural outgrowth of a life connected to Christ. Your lifestyle, your presence, your love — they can’t and will not be hidden. This kind of life is the greatest argument against secularisation and the backbone of the Church. If you feel disheartened, listen in, be renewed, and rediscover the beauty of sharing Jesus in simple, authentic ways right where you are.”
#Think Evangelism is more than a podcast — it’s a conversation that matters. Tune in on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Listen, share, and discover new ways to bring hope, love, and faith into everyday life.
