Irish Mission Day of Fellowship 2026: Inspiring Unity and Koinonia in Dublin
On Sabbath, 12 September, Seventh-day Adventist Church members from across the island of Ireland travelled to Dublin to join their fellow believers for the annual Irish Mission Day of Fellowship.
The morning program featured a powerful keynote sermon by Dr Tihomir Lazić from Newbold College of Higher Education (UK). Centred on the biblical concept of koinonia (fellowship), Dr Lazić explored the profound, godly relationships that flourish among those who serve Jesus together. He reminded attendees that true Christian fellowship goes far beyond social connection—it is defined by the essential, transforming presence of Christ at its centre.
Following the spiritual encouragement of the morning service, the afternoon was packed with engaging activities. Attendees participated in a diverse range of practical workshops designed to inspire and equip local churches. These included discussions on children and parenting, music and worship, faith and mission, mental health, and keeping faith in a secular world. A common thread woven across these workshops was how to build unity in Christ within a multicultural church. One of the day’s vibrant highlights was the “Parade of Nations,” celebrating the rich cultural diversity and shared faith of the Adventist community in Ireland. The plan to maintain this unity moving forward hinges on the One Voice Choir initiative, which aims to unite Adventists through music.
The day concluded with unified prayers and uplifting closing remarks, leaving everyone inspired, recharged, and renewed in their commitment to foster deeper fellowship in their home congregations.
