Christ at the Centre: Young People Gather for Inspiring Gen-Z Weekend in Ireland
Our first Gen-Z weekend of 2026 took place from Friday 3rd April to Monday 6th April. The theme “Christ at the Centre,” was our key focus throughout the entire weekend and meaningful messages led by our speaker Kuda Gonese. We had over 30 young people who took appeal for baptism and 40 renewed their walk with God. It was a successful and uplifting weekend with nearly 70 young people attending from across the Irish Mission. Everyone had the chance to connect, build new friendships, and get to know one another.

We shared a purposeful Sabbath together as both volunteers and attendees, starting with breakfast, followed by worship and the Sabbath service. In the evening, we held a beautiful sunset worship concert, where young people from different cultures and churches contributed through group songs, solos, and special items. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed social time and games.
On Sunday morning, we gathered again after breakfast for worship and another few messages from our speaker. Led by our worship team, the session set the tone for a fun and engaging day. We enjoyed a variety of group activities, including icebreakers, group challenges, and sports, which encouraged both teamwork and friendly competition. After dinner and evening worship, it was wonderful to see young people stepping out of their comfort zones, connecting with others they had just met and forming new friendships.

On our final day, Monday, we came together one last time for worship before packing up and preparing to leave Drewstown House in Co. Meath. It was truly a blessed and encouraging weekend for not only the young people but for volunteers as well.

We continue to praise God for the young people that show up to these events and we pray this will continue. We look forward to seeing everyone again at our upcoming Gen-Z weekends throughout 2026.
A special thank you to Pastor Jeff and his team especially the young volunteers who came for the first time as staff but previously were attendees of these events. Each one of them encouraged and supported the event and young people.
