Blanchardstown Congregation Celebrates 13th Anniversary

The Blanchardstown congregation celebrated a significant milestone on April 18, 2026, as members and friends gathered to mark its 13th anniversary. The day was filled with worship, inspiring music, warm fellowship, and deep gratitude for God’s continued faithfulness and blessings.

Approximately 150 attendees filled the church, including visitors who travelled from across Ireland to share in the occasion. Delegations came from Portlaoise, Dublin Central, Ranelagh, Enniscorthy, Dublin West, and several other churches. In a beautiful expression of unity and support, some congregations even closed their own services to give their full support. This reflected the deep bonds shared within the wider church family and highlighted a powerful spirit of Christian fellowship.

The spiritual tone of the day was shaped by the presence and contributions of several pastors. Pastor Florin Iacob opened the service with a warm welcome and Pastor Vitallie Mindru offered a prayer of dedication, committing the future of the church into God’s care. The Divine Worship message, presented by Pastor Maicol Cortes and titled “God’s Real Picture,” encouraged attendees to remain steadfast in faith and united in purpose, grounded in the assurance that God is love.

Following the service, everyone enjoyed a generous fellowship meal. The room was filled with joy, laughter, and meaningful conversations as members and guests shared a wonderful variety of food. This special time together beautifully reflected the kindness, generosity, and hospitality shown not only by the members of Blanchardstown congregation, but also by the visiting churches, demonstrating strong friendships, mutual support, and genuine Christian connection.

The celebration continued into the afternoon with a vibrant and spirit-filled mini concert featuring singers and musical groups from various churches. Pastor Greg Davis delivered a moving musical performance reflecting on God’s enduring faithfulness, while groups such as the Portlaoise Chorus and Dublin Central Choir added depth and energy to the programme. Particularly memorable were the contributions of Zizi and Aidan from Ranelagh Church, Latoya from Enniscorthy Church, and the youngest participants, including five years old Shem Balogo from Dublin West Church and Zia Corri from Blanchardstown Church, whose performances brought joy and heartfelt smiles to all in attendance.

Also, one of the highlights of the day was the first-ever presentation by the Blanchardstown Ukulele Ensemble, led by Sister Muriel Corri. Their performance was warmly received and marked an exciting and promising step forward in the church’s vibrant and growing music ministry.

The celebration concluded on a deeply meaningful note with a message of reflection and hope from Pastor Adam Keough. The congregation was also delighted by the presence of his wife, Heather, during the event and her support was really appreciated.

Music continues to serve as a powerful and unifying ministry within Blanchardstown congregation. Initiatives such as the orchestra, the choir, the teens and ladies chorus and the ukulele ensemble are not only nurturing talent but also building meaningful connections within the wider community. It is especially encouraging to see non-Adventist participants becoming involved, forming friendships, and experiencing a sense of belonging through music and fellowship.
