Deborah Lessa Introduction

Deborah Lessa Introduction

The Irish Mission’s Communication Department has a new team member. Deborah Lessa is our new Social Media Manager. In the modern world, having a social media presence is very important, but it is oh so time consuming! We are very blessed that Deborah is willing to find time in her busy day to help us.

Deborah is well qualified for this position. She graduated in Social Communication - Journalism. After graduating, she was employed as Communication Advisor for the West Central Brazil Union Mission of Seventh-day Adventist Church. She also did some freelance work as a social media and content creator.

Deborah is passionate about serving God. She served as a volunteer in South Africa and, more recently, as a volunteer in England. As she says, “I love to use my gifts and talents to serve God.”

She is enthusiastic about her role as social media manager and has many ideas. Deborah says: “I hope not only to get people more informed about what's happening within the Irish Mission but also to motivate them on their spiritual journey. I also hope to involve our church members in some projects for social media, so that together we can be digital missionaries as well.”

Since she started in September, Deborah has updated and revamped the Irish Mission social media platforms. The Irish Mission is on Facebook, Twitter and recently started an account on Instagram. People can follow our pages to receive our news, get informed about the Irish Mission events, and receive other updates and information about our churches in Ireland and Northern Ireland, etc.
